00:01:50 – 00:56:40          Ravnica Rumble Part 2-  This week the OCC Boyz are doing another long segment to finish up the Ravnica and the Return to Ravnica Leaders fight. For those of you who don’t know, we decided to put the Guild Leaders of the original Ravnica Block up against the Guild Leaders from the Return to Ravnica Block. We’re going to compare the stats, abilities, and overall card quality to determine which Guild Leader we would prefer to build a deck around. Last week we did the Guilds of Rakdos, Orzhov, Gruul, Azorius, and Simic. This week we’re going to finish off the other the Guilds of Boros, Dimir, Izzet, Golgari, and Selesnya. To help you follow along at home…

Boros:  Razia, Boros Archangel    vs    Aurelia, the Warleader

Dimir:  Szadek Lord of Secrets   vs    Lazav, Dimir Mastermind

Izzet:  Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind   vs   Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius

  1. No love for Lazav? This guy has so much potential -the main difference between this guy and the rest of the clone~style dudes is his flexibility and built-in evasion. Is your opponent's Seadborn Muse ruining your day? Do what you would normally do anyways-Doomblade it-and hey, now you have one. And it has hexproof! Even better, do the above after swinging with a beater-imprinted general, or using him to copy an opponent's utility creature's ability. He needs a different build (heavy targeted removal and hand disruption), but he's got great synergy if you go blue black aggro. Think mindshrieker, windfall, etc., which are great by themselves. I'm just getting back into EDH after moving around a bit for work, and I can't wait to try him out.
